The Courtside Cafe was founded in 1977 by David Alexander Sr in the newest of Mecklenburg County's Courthouses then. He started Davids Snack bar in a small area that served snacks drinks and many other items. Sine 1977, he worked hard to develop the Snack Bar into a full service cafe that serves hundreds of people daily. We are easily located downtown in the new Mecklenburg County Court House at 832 E. 4th Street, 1st floor, Suite 1362. We are within walking distance of City Hall, Charlotte Mecklenburg Goverment Center, Old Historic Court House, Mecklenburg County Jail and Charlotte Mecklenburg School's Education Center. Whether you are a government employee , performing jury service, appearing in court, or just in the area our cafe is sure to have something for you.
